Comment: I received a "holiday" gift guide rather than a "Christmas" gift guide. The employees have been instructed to say "Happy Holidays", which is offensive to me. Eddie Bauer's greatest profits in a year are generated because of Christmas, which exists because of the birth of Jesus Christ. So Eddie Bauer is profiting from something they refuse to even acknowledge. How sad is that

Comment: While I personally might like to see a bit more use of "Christmas" in relationship to their gift section labeling, I don't fault them. They are not censoring Christmas -- one of their scrolling homepage banners refers in big letters to "waffles on Christmas morning," and the main banner at the header of multiple Web site pages tells about free shipping and guaranteed Christmas delivery. Good for them on that (and, hey --and good for customers too!) Thanks Eddie.

Comment: Eddie Bauer obviously believes in Santa but Santa is not the reason we celebrate on December 25th. I'm celebrating Christmas and so are millions of other Americans.
