Comment: I was happy to recieve an email from TRU telling me "Merry Christmas" on Dec 25. This is in stark contrast to others I received on Dec 25 that actually said "Happy Holiday" no "s" at the end...just Holiday instead of Christmas. I did my TRU shopping in Nov so I did't expect to be wished a "Merry Christmas" but all their ads have at had trees, presents, etc and red & green colors. The email I recieved today referred to their "after Christmas" sale.

Thank you TRU!! Keep it up!

Comment: No mention of Christmas anywhere - I am ashamed to say that I was oblivious and apathetic to their intentional dimissal of Christmas from their stores, websites and advertisement. But the fact that their flyers is advertising the biggest "December Sale" ever just about says it all.

Comment: Toys R Us makes a huge profit from sales of toys at Christmas; however, they refuse to use the word Christmas in their ads. Everything refers to December sales. We even got an e mail advertising the "hottest toy." It went on to infer that your child "had" to have this under the tree. Why not just use the word Christmas?

Comment: I used to work for Babies R Us and they would encourage us to use 'Happy Holidays." I flat out refused. I would say Merry Christmas and the majority of my customers were appreciative of that. No manager ever said anything to me. It wouldn't have changed anything if they had.
