I wished each Penney associate a "Merry Christmas" and they responded warmly in kind. Generally a good experience. I think that JC Penney "gets it".

Comment: Christmas music, red and green ornaments all throughout the store however, there is no mention or signs of Merry Christmas anywhere in the store. My wife and I advised JC Penny personnel of this and also mention that "Merry Christmas is the reason for the season" and we were told that their employees cannot say Merry Christmas as to not offend anyone. We feel that as Christian's we are offended by this and therefore we will no longer be doing any shopping at JC Penny. Merry Christmas

I couldn't find "Christmas" on the page, but joining up with the Salvation Army to provide gifts "implies" Christmas. Also, the site notes that "You can also support The Salvation Army by donating to the Red Kettle located outside many JCPenney and other stores this holiday season." Okay... "holiday season", but tying gifts with the Salvation Army makes it pretty obvious which holiday we're talking about. http://angel.jcpenney.com/

Amazingly, the nearby girls section featured similar emblems. No mention of Christmas. Left me feeling saddened, heavy-hearted & ready to get out of the store. Comment: Was just looking through the JcPenney ad for Black Friday. Something is missing...there is NO mention of Christmas at all!!! I have been a faithful customer of JcPenney in the past, but will spend my hard-earned dollars elsewhere if they refuse to acknowledge Christmas!

Comment: JC Penny's catalog is Christmas friendly. It is late November but their emails mention Holiday Sale and Gift giving but no mention of Christmas. Please celebrate Christmas with the millions of Americans like myself who celebrate on December 25th - Christmas

Comment: I was glad to see JCPenny's supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree giving program, however I was confused by the description of the program, which stated that it's goal was to "provide holiday gifts" to children in need. I did not see what "holiday" they were providing gifts for, so unfortunately, I'll be unable to patronize their store this "holiday" known as Christmas. There was also no mention of Christmas elsewhere on their website, "holiday fleece" and other "holiday" wear but not Christmas.
